Triangular Egypt-Cyprus-Greece Summit to Boost Business Coop

In the framework of the Egyptian-Cypriot-Greek trilateral summit, a business forum will take place on Wednesday, January 8, organized by the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce. The forum will see the participation of key officials from Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece, including ministers of planning and economic development, international cooperation, electricity and renewable energy, foreign affairs, migration, investment and foreign trade, petroleum and mineral resources from Egypt, as well as energy, trade, industry, and foreign affairs ministers from Cyprus and Greece.
The event, which is expected to draw over 70 Cypriot and Greek companies and 200 Egyptian companies, is set to explore avenues for tripartite and bilateral cooperation across various sectors such as energy, infrastructure, industry, agriculture, fisheries, transport and logistics, and healthcare services.
A Platform for Strategic Partnerships According to Ahmed El Wakil, President of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the forum will feature high-level discussions between ministers from the three countries, aimed at boosting cooperation between private sector companies. These discussions will focus on expanding trade relations and exploring new opportunities within the African, Arab, and American markets, which Egypt's free trade zones facilitate.
Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary-General of the Egyptian and European Chamber Federations, further explained that the event would kick off with pre-arranged bilateral meetings between Cypriot and Greek companies to explore various types of partnerships. The forum will include discussions on government support, the role of the public-private sector partnership, and opportunities for collaboration across multiple industries.
Additionally, the event will feature financing mechanisms and guarantees offered by the European Union, European and Arab development banks, and multilateral funding organizations. A roundtable discussion will also take place, focusing on energy and infrastructure projects, particularly on the linking of electricity grids and opportunities for collaboration between Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece in these fields.
This gathering promises to significantly enhance economic ties and business opportunities between the three nations, creating a robust foundation for long-term, sustainable partnerships in multiple industries.
